Unique SNAP Technology
CellGuide pioneered the development of SNAP technology. Using SNAP, rapid snapshots of satellite signals are acquired, then immediately processed on a host processor. SNAP period and length are dynamically adjusted according to environmental conditions, delivering optimal positioning and navigation for mobile devices while maximizing functionality with significantly reduced power consumption.

Effective Host-Based Architecture
CellGuide’s host-based GNSS receiver architecture leverages the processing strength of modern mobile consumer electronics device application processors. Our unique host-based receiver solution takes advantage of existing processing capabilities of a host processor, minimizing resource consumption with optimized algorithms. The required digital baseband hardware has a smaller footprint and lower power consumption than traditional GNSS receivers.

GPSense™ Multi-Beacon Positioning Firmware
GPSense™ is an industry-leading multi-beacon positioning engine for mobile consumer applications. GPSense™ combines GNSS, signal beacons, sensors and databases such as HiMap™ for optimal position and navigation outputs in challenging environments, including indoor and dense urban areas. Devices running GPSense™ feature a superior user-experience for location based applications, and enhanced battery life due to efficient power management.

HiMap™ Precision Urban Positioning
CellGuide’s patent-pending HiMap™ technology significantly improves GNSS receiver performance using a high-resolution digital elevation map (DEM). HiMap™ serves as an additional beacon for GNSS receivers, resulting in optimized accuracy for navigation receivers in urban environments for vehicle and pedestrian applications. The advanced compression techniques used for generating HiMap™ provide global urban coverage in a compact database of only a few megabytes.
