The CGX5900 is a miniature GPS co-processor designed for mass-market mobile devices. The CGX5900 offers industry-leading –160 dBm sensitivity and excellent navigation performance while consuming only 10 mW of power and only 50 mm² of board space when combined with a companion RF front-end chip.

The CGX5900 achieves these specifications by leveraging existing resources of the host processor. The CGX5900 co-processor and its associated host-based software use CellGuide’s proprietary signal processing and navigation technology to provide superior GPS performance while using only a small fraction of the host’s resources, allowing simultaneous performance of LBS and other applications.
